Parentmail Friday 13th September
Dear Parents/Carers,
We’ve come to the end of the first full week of this academic year! A big welcome to our new Reception pupils and their families. The Reception children have settled in beautifully and we were delighted to see them at our whole school assembly this morning. Pupils are awarded Lakeside Learner certificates at the Friday assembly and they are applauded on the stage for their achievements. Today’s Reception Lakeside Learner achievers took the experience in their stride with big proud smiles as they joined other pupils on the stage.
Thank you for sending in wet play activities for your children. It’s been very nice not to have to use them very much this week, though the temperature has plummeted. If you haven’t yet done so and would like your child to have something quiet to do during wet play times, please send in a colouring or puzzle book for them to use when it’s raining. Thank you.
Thank you to those of you who have donated waterproof clothes/wellies to school. They will be well used! We’d be delighted to receive any further donations. Thank you.
ASDA Cashpot for Schools
I’m sure that many of you are aware of this scheme by now, but just in case…
ASDA supermarkets are running a scheme where if you shop either in-store or online a percentage of your spend will be donated to your school. Just go to Asda Cashpot for Schools online or use this link https://www.asda.com/cashpotforschools Thank you!

Parentmail 6th September, 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
It’s been wonderful to welcome your children back to school for the 24-25 academic year. I see lots of happy faces around the school in spite of the rain!
A big thank-you from the kitchen to all of you for booking your children’s lunches in good time this week. This has enabled mealtimes to run very smoothly and efficiently for the children.
Wet playtimes and lunchtimes
The rain has arrived early this year! Pupils do not go outside when it’s pouring with rain, and are supervised in their classrooms. Please could you send in a colouring/doodle/puzzle book that your child can use during these times (please put your child’s name on it). Thank you.
Waterproof clothes donation request
If you have any waterproof jackets, trousers or all-in-ones that you would like to donate for Outdoor Learning, we would be extremely grateful to receive them in school. We’re happy to receive any size. We also need wellies/outdoor boots if anyone has them to donate. Many thanks in advance for your help.
Year Group Information meetings
Year group curriculum information meetings for parents and carers will be held in September and October as follows. These are where you find out what learning projects the children will be doing, which visits and trips are planned, and how you can help your child at home.
