Dear Parents/Carers,
Eid al-Fitr: Thursday 13th May
We send warm wishes to all our families who celebrated Eid al-Fitr this week. I hope you all enjoyed this special time with your families and were able to celebrate and share safely. The website this week contains some stories read by staff and pupils (thank you Year 6!) and we have included some fun activities for children to enjoy.
You can access these here:

Health and Wellbeing fortnight
As this year won’t look the same for us in terms of sports days and the usual summer term festivities, we have decided to run a Health and Wellbeing fortnight. During the weeks directly before and after the Half Term break, children will be taking part in enrichment activities and essential health and Wellbeing sessions. These will include sports days for each year group, Thrive and Wellbeing activities. Also during this time, teachers will deliver Sex and Relationships Education sessions throughout the school. Attached is information about the content of these sessions and a consent form.
Grass area outside the school on Ontario Way
Please can we kindly remind parents that the areas of grass opposite the school entrance in front of the flats on Ontario Way are actually private gardens of residents and not general areas of grass for children or pets to run on. When you drop-off and collect your children, please ensure that they remain on the pavement and don’t go onto these grassy areas. Thank you.
Class photos
Colorfoto will be coming into school on Wednesday 26th May to take class photos. Please can children make sure they are wearing school uniform that day. Thank you
Covid Symptoms
A reminder of the extended Covid symptoms information from Test, Trace, Protect Wales. The three main symptoms remain the same (NEW, PERSISTENT COUGH, FEVER, LOSS OF TASTE/SMELL) and require a PCR test and isolation of the sufferer and household until a negative test is received. The extended symptoms do not require either the sufferer or their household to isolate, but a test is recommended to rule out Covid if any of the symptoms are present. The ‘extended symptoms’ are: FATIGUE, ACHES & PAINS, SORE THROAT, HEADACHE, RUNNY NOSE, NAUSEA, VOMITING or DIARRHOEA. If a positive test result is received the usual rules apply regarding isolation of sufferer and members of their household.

Best wishes and have a lovely weekend,
