Cardiff Catering run school dinners in all primary schools and sets the menus.  If you would like your child to have school lunches, please sign up for meals via Parentpay and you will be able to choose what meal your child will have that day.

A full menu of hot meals is available, including a vegetarian option and jacket potatoes.

All Reception to Year 4 children are eligible for universal free school meals.  Please choose your child's meal from the menu on Parentpay. Meals must be booked by parents if you wish to take advantage of this provision.

Free school meal applications for children form whom Universal Free School Meals do not apply

Applications for Free School Meals can be made online via the Council’s website.

Our Benefit Support Team has worked with the Web Team to develop the online application system, making it quicker and easier for qualifying families in the city to apply. Applicants will no longer need to submit a paper application as the short online form can be completed from personal devices at home.

Applicants with queries or who need support should contact the Free School Meals line on 029 2053 7250 where members of the team will be able to resolve most queries without the need for an appointment.  Access to PCs on an appointment-only basis is available in hubs across the city for anyone without access to a device or the internet.

Details of eligibility for the scheme and the new online application form are available

here.

Cardiff Council schools serve a balanced 2 course meal and a cold drink for £2.50 per child per day.

Our menu operates on a three week cycle to ensure that children receive a varied diet, and there is a vegetarian choice available each day.  A link to Cardiff Council's menu can be found below.

The school uses ParentPay, a secure online payment system for school dinners.

Access is via the ParentPay website (www.parentpay.com), which is already used in all Cardiff Secondary Schools, and is currently being phased into all Cardiff Primary Schools.

Each child is provided with individual activation codes (username and password) for the website, and parents need to activate their online account in order to make payments and pre-order each child's meals.

If you already have a ParentPay account for an older child at this or another school, you will be able to log into your existing account and add your child, using the username and password on your activation letter.

Please ensure that you pre-order your child/children's meals online via the ParentPay website.  The system will allow you to select up to 8am the day the meal is served, as long as you have credit on the account.  As the school kitchen cooks to order, pupils whose parents have not pre-ordered may not receive the meal of their choice or you may be contacted to provide a packed lunch.

Parents whose child is entitled to free school meals also need to activate their account and order the meals in advance.

Please activate your ParentPay account even if your child does not currently take school meals, as we are now using the system for the payment of school trips and other activities. You can also provide consent and emergency contact details through the same system.

Parents/guardians can now apply for Free School Meals online using the link on the Cardiff Council website  www.cardiff.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals
