Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you very much for supporting our Odd Socks Day on Monday for Anti-bullying, and Children in Need today.  The whole school enjoyed watching the Pupil Leadership Team’s assembly presentation in which they explored different types of bullying and how children can stand up for and look after each other.  For Children in Need we had some amazing crazy hairstyles and yet again we are grateful for your generous support for this charity.  So far, a wonderful £365.77 has been raised.

Year 4 Parents/Carers: Universal Primary Free School Meals

On Monday (20th November), Year 4 pupils will start to receive Universal Free School Meals.  Parentpay will be updated on Saturday (18th) and Year 4 parents/carers can pre-order meals at this time without being asked to make a payment.  Please do not pre-order meals until Saturday.   (Other year groups – please order your meals as usual)

Parent-Governor nominations

If you are interested in becoming a parent-governor, the closing date is Thursday 23rd November.  Please refer to the previous Parentmail for full information.

PTA Christmas Fayre – Friday, December 1st

If anyone is able to help make this event a success, you can do so as follows:

  • Donate a bar of chocolate for the Chocolate Tombola – from fun size to family size, boxes or bars, all are welcome!
  • Donate good quality children’s books
  • Donate your pre-loved Christmas jumpers – to be sold at the Fayre ready for Christmas Jumper Day December 8th
  • Pre-loved, good condition teddies and soft toys – as prizes for the ever popular (with children!) Teddy Tombola

Please bring all donations to school by Monday 27th November.

On the day of the Fayre:

  • Please can Nursery, Year 1 and Year 4 (or any keen bakers) donate the following:
    • Cakes or sweet desserts (bought or homemade)
    • Finger foods from around the world – we would love your family’s favourite foods to sell and share at the fayre – can these foods be easily eaten by hand please.

Please remember – NO NUTS.  Thank you.

Thank you very much in advance for all donations and help – see you at the Fayre after school on Friday 1st December!

Measles vaccinations

Please see the attached updated information about measles vaccinations from NHS Wales.

Lost Property

Please see the lost property page of the web site if your child has mislaid something:  https://www.lakesideprimaryschool.co.uk/lost-property-eiddo-coll/  It would help us greatly if children’s property was labelled with their name, especially school uniform, so that we can reunite owners with their clothing or other items.  Many thanks.
