Dear Parents/Carers,

The autumn weather has arrived this week, bringing wellies, coats and umbrellas with it! Please remember to label all items with your child’s name where possible as it makes it much easier for us to find the owners of our lost property. Thank you.

St John’s Ambulance Non-uniform Day – Friday 29^th September

Friday 29^th September will be a non-uniform day to raise money for St John Ambulance.  Donations will be collected on main gate on Friday morning.

First Aid training for parents – Nursery to Year 2

Thank you to those of you who were able to book on the First Aid Awareness training. You will receive a confirmation email for your designated session.  There a few spaces still available in the afternoon session.  If you are interested, please email the office lakesideprimary@cardiff.gov.uk

Harvest celebration: Wednesday 4^th October

We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food for a food bank as part of this year’s harvest celebration.  The donations can be brought into school from Monday 2^nd October.  Below is a list of preferred items, but all non-perishable donations are welcome.  Following our Harvest assembly, members of the School Council will deliver the donations to the food bank.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Thank you to parents/carers for attending our year group meetings to date.  These continue next week.

PTA upcoming dates

• Friday 29th September - 9am informal meet and greet the PTA and discuss up and coming events - all welcome. Please come to the school office.

• Friday 29th September - 3.15pm Cake sale years 2&6 for the two DEC appeals, Moroccan Earthquake and Libyan floods.
• Thursday 26th October - Times to be agreed, Spooks and Sparkles Disco.
• Friday 17th November - Children in Need - Crazy Hair!
