Dear Parents/Carers

Thank you so much to all of you for making the KS2 children’s return to school so smooth and well-ordered. It was clear from the children’s faces and behaviour as they arrived at the school gate and saw their friends, that they were all glad to be back. I went around the KS2 classes this morning to welcome everyone back and it was wonderful to see our pupils in their rightful place. Thank you also for wearing masks when you drop off and pick up your children.

Here’s a reminder of drop-off and collection times.

Red Nose Day 2021: Friday 19th March

Once again, we will be showing our support for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day this Friday. We are inviting children (and staff!) to wear something red to school. This could be an item of clothing, hair bobble or even a pair of red socks! There will be collection buckets on the gate in the morning for collection of cash. Thank you in advance for joining in with Red Nose Day!

Working Together Wednesday

It was our final WTW last Wednesday and we went out with a bang. If you haven’t yet, check out our cola explosion video at https://lakeside-primary-school-cardiff.primarysite.media/media/out-with-a-fizz-and-a-bang I wish to thank everyone who got involved in the WTW activities, whether you sent me work, photos and videos or not. The feedback we’ve had has been extremely positive. The videos and activities will remain on the website, in case you’re ever looking for fun things to do on a rainy day or if you and your children need to self-isolate.

Best wishes
